Some estimated suggest that women and girls around the world spend 200 million hours collectively every day, walking to gather their water. If that’s not tragic enough, the reality is that most of this water, if not boiled or treated in some way, is going to make them very sick.

That is not okay.

Join us on May 18, 12:30-3:00p at Johnson Park in Grandville for our annual Walk for Water. We walk because they walk. This walk is about feeling what they feel. It’s about joining together to make sure everyone on this planet has access to a basic necessity of life – clean water.

C’mon over to walkforwater.20liters.org to find out more and to register for the event. You don’t have to register to participate, but if you do, we’ve got a pretty sweet t-shirt waiting for you. Lunch will be brought to us courtesy of StrEATs Tacos and the Angry Chicken food trucks.
