After hearing about a program to alleviate cholera in his village and how the water team was part of that program, he was appointed to volunteer from his church.
Most people in his community get their water from the Nyabarongo River, which is dirty swamp and river water. The majority are also too poor to boil their water which leads to a great deal of sickness.
Since the filters have come into his community he has seen a significant improvement in the health of his people.
